All modular buildings require a foundation that distributes the resulting loads evenly into the subsoil. But which foundation is the right one? Various factors play a role here, such as soil conditions, installation location, earthquake risk, building size, planned service life and building regulations.

Since some soils are more resilient than others and individual regions also have a higher seismic risk, foundations must always be adapted to local conditions. Another aspect is the height of the building, because multi-story buildings are subject to much greater forces than rooms on one level. With the right foundation, a structure has the stability it needs for the desired service life.
